9 Weeks...Easter fun!

This was such a fun week with Easter and meeting so many family members!  I slept through or ate during most of my sister's Easter egg hunts, but just wait until next year!  I got to meet Papa Rick and Nana Peggy who came in from Tucson.  I also met Papa Ron and Nana Carol, and Grandpa Tom and Great-Grandma Rose when we went to Washington.  Not only that, I got to meet so many of my cousins!
I had my 2 month doctor's appointment this week.  I now weigh 12 pounds, 1 ounce and am 23 1/4 inch long!  I started of small, but am growing fast!  I also got some of my shots.  I cried a little bit and was pretty lethargic afterwards.  I was a little fussier than usual, but not too bad.  I've been waking up twice a night again though,
I started to grab onto things and mouth things this week.  I'm starting to figure out how the world works!

8 Weeks...Easter is Coming!

I had a really good week at home with Mommy.  Unfortunately, Daddy has not been home a lot and I really miss him.  I did get some snuggle time with him though.  Mommy did some of the massages on me, and I think my eyes broke out from the oil she used.  I'm all better now!
Easter is coming soon and Ellie and I got our picture taken with the Easter bunny at Bass Pro.  I was pretty sleepy and missed most of it, but they did get a picture!
Mommy took me to the lactation consultant and I got weighed.  I was 12 pounds, 3 ounces!!! There is no concern about my weight!  I have my 2 month check up on Monday.  I also went to a program at the library, but slept through most of that too!  I'm sure I will like it more when I get older.  We also had a visit from Mommy's friend Jill Evans.  She was really nice, and was the one who encouraged Mommy to do the blogs!
Papa Rick and Nana Peggy came all the way from Tucson this weekend for Easter and we got to meet.  I enjoyed seeing them.  Papa Rick really had the touch when I was crying!
I can't wait to see what else Easter is all about this weekend!

7 Weeks...Sleeping and smiling!

I have really changed this past week!  I have been sleeping about 5-5 1/2 hours at a time at night!  I usually got to bed around 10:00 and get up around 3:00 and then at 6:00!  Mommy is so happy!  I was sleeping in my Pack 'N Play until this week.  Because I have been spitting up, snorting, and grunting, Mommy and Daddy put a wedge under my sheets.  It helps, but I also started sliding down to the end of my Pack 'N Play.  One morning, Mommy and Ellie found me laying sideways at the foot of it!  So, I have moved to my own crib now.  I am such a big girl!  I still have the wedge and slide down a little, but not quite as much!
I have also been giving a lot of real smiles this week!  It warms Mommy and Daddy's heart.  Daddy was feeling left out because I had been smiling at everyone but him.  He feels much better now!
Other things that happened this week: I hung out with Daddy while Mommy and Ellie went on a date, I went with Mommy to vote, we went to an infant massage class, and we went on a walk to Mommy's friend's (Rachel's) house.  I have started gripping onto things this week too.  I also seem to have diaper blow outs, but only in public in the same pair of butterfly pants that Grandma Kathy gave me!

6 Weeks Old...Spitting up, breaking out, and snorting!

I have had several visitors this past week, including Auntie Heather and Uncle Sean, Ashley and Ian!  I like to have new people hold me and spoil me! Mommy also took me to her school to show me off.  Everyone loved me!  Another trip I took was to visit Miss Annie and Mr. Kenny.  They babysat my sister when she was a baby and Miss Annie can't wait to have me next month when Mommy goes back to work!
I've had several diaper blow-outs this week.  One was when Mommy took me to her doctor's appointment and another when she took me to her school!  I know how to time it!  I have also been spitting up A LOT!  I think it has contributed to my face breaking out.  I know it will go away, but it doesn't look very pretty.  I did sleep for 5 1/2 hours one night, but I am having trouble breathing after the 3 or 4 AM feeding.  I snort a lot and pant so it is hard to nurse.  Mommy and Daddy are going to ask the doctor about that again because they don't want me to struggle.
Another big change is that I am getting BIGGER!  I am no longer in newborn diapers-I graduated to Size 1 diapers!  Most of my newborn clothes don't fit me any more.  Mommy feels sad about that.  I have gotten a little more coordinated, and I am swatting at toys.  I also like it when Mommy gets toys out for me to look at.  Pretty soon, I'll be reaching for them!
