I was very interested in fireworks before the 4th of July and liked to watch them on Mommy and Daddy's phones. However, I lasted less than one minute outside that night when I saw and heard the real thing. I was up for another hour afterward because I was so freaked out. Now, when I don't know what a noise is, it really scares me.
Mommy went on two trips this month and I got to spend a lot of good time with Daddy and Ellie. Nana Arden came and helped out during the first trip because Molly was a handful! I also got to help Nana Arden's friend move some rocks. I love to be a big helper! It is really nice having Daddy home more often too, now that school is out for the summer.
When Mommy came back from her second trip, we threw her a huge surprise 40th birthday party at our house! We had so many people at our house and I loved to help entertain! It really did wear me out though!
Molly is going to puppy training lessons and while she does that, I have gone to Nana Arden's and Aunt Lisa's. I really love hanging out with family and am pretty comfortable with a lot of people.
I did parent-child swimming lessons for two weeks. I really enjoyed being in the water. I love to kick and move my arms. My instructor said he was really impressed with my ability to move in the water and I was definitely ready for lessons on my own next summer. I did enjoy having Mommy and Daddy in the water with me though, even though Daddy pushed me under a few times. I liked to jump in the water too.
I got to visit my new preschool. Inside, I really enjoyed the dinosaurs and a toy that spins when you push it down, and I loved all the playground equipment outside. I'm excited to go back and play! I am starting to "read" books that I have memorized. I'm also pretty good at reciting commercials on the radio and singing to songs, especially "Fight Song."
Other big news-I'm sleeping in a big girl bed now!!! Ellie and I are switching rooms and I am getting all her cool furniture and decorations. We tried sleeping in the same room with me on a mattress on the floor and her in bed, but neither of us slept much. We were too busy talking and playing and arguing! I am doing better in there by myself and will move into the big bed soon! Ellie and I like to play in the room together. It is pretty special to me because she never let me in her room before to play!
This month, we had a lot of fun visits! Miss Rachel came over to meet Molly and she told us that she is adopting a little baby boy in about a month! We had a late Father's Day celebration at Aunt Lisa's. We went to three parks one day with Lillian and Grayson! We have made several trips to the library. I love playing on those computers!
Funny things I have said this month...After hearing Mommy ask Ellie every day after school, I started asking "What did you learn today Ellie?" when she got in the car. I also like to ask people "What is your favorite princess/color/food today?" because that's what Mommy asks me. While Molly and Twist are playing, I commented "Molly is eating Twist's head!" At dinner one night when everyone was talking for a while, I said, "It's my turn to talk!" and then told the same story I always tell about the tulips dying and the lilies coming up. I try to be assertive!
