52 Weeks...Last week as a "baby!"

What a stimulating week!  We started off going to St. Louis to Ian's birthday party at a train store.  There were so many rooms with so many toy trains!  It was a lot of fun, especially watching all the other kids.  I also did a great job in the car, and slept quite a bit there and back so I wasn't too crabby!
The next day was Ellie and Bella's 6th birthday party at Bonkers.  There was so much to see and do there!  I wore myself out!
Next, I got to really play in the snow for the first time!  I wasn't sure what to think.  I walked around and played with it a little bit and then went sledding with Mommy!  They tried to get me to do a snow angel, but I didn't really like laying on my back.  The snow excursion was all over when I face-planted.  I think I'll try it again sometime though.
I thought I was over my cold from last week, but it came back in full force!  I have a major runny nose, had a 100.9 fever again, and am doing a lot of drooling.  I've been crying out a lot at night a lot too.  I woke up today with a swollen left eye from all the yuck.  I had also fell against the dishwasher door and scraped up my nose.  I look like I have been in a fight!
I got to go to Ellie's school twice this week.  We ate lunch with her the first day back after her birthday.  All the kids said I was really cute.  We also went today because Ellie got a leadership award!  I liked being there, but I was really tired!  My naps were a little off, so after Mommy and I ran errands and met up with Stacey, I slept in the car.  Gotta get my rest for this weekend!
My birthday is tomorrow and we are moving Ellie and my party to Sunday because it is supposed to be icy tonight.  We want everyone to be safe.  Can't wait to taste that cake!

51 Weeks...One more week until what?

I have been a very busy girl this week!  One day, I was in and out of my car seat running errands with Mommy 9 times!  We had a visit from Mommy's friend Rachel (who knew me well before I was born!) and a puppy named Sophia.  I really enjoyed seeing the puppy.  Of course, I made my "mmmmm, mmmmm" sound!  We also went to the library for Ellie to read to a dog, so I got to hang out with Sadie again.  Mommy took Ellie and me to Nana Arden's one afternoon because Daddy was sick and we got to play outside because it was a nice day again.  I also got to go to Ellie's Valentine's day party at school.  I love watching all the kids have fun!
Ellie and Daddy were home sick a couple days this week.  Unfortunately, I got sick too, but it was short-lived.  I had a runny nose and fever of 100.9, but it only lasted one day.  I was pretty cranky and whiny for a couple days after that though.  I did not like the Tylenol Mommy gave me and spit most of it out!
I love to interact with people.  I started giving kisses (not too sloppy) and still love to "give love" by headbutting people.  I can point to my head, belly, toes, fingers, and Mommy's nose.  I really love having board books read to me and knocking down a tower of blocks.  One of my favorite games is dropping things to see how fast and how many times people will pick it up for me.
I hear this next week is birthday week!  I don't know what that means, but I know Ellie is excited (and sad about me turning one!)

50 Weeks...Yep, I'm a walker (and an early riser!)

I am really starting to take off!  I started taking shorter, faster steps when the week began, and now I am walking across the room!  I probably walk about half the time.  I can't wait to show off my skills at my birthday party!
I also really like to roll over on my back and start slamming my feet on the ground.  Mommy and Daddy said Ellie used to do that too.  It's about the only time I tolerate being on my back.
I have been giving a lot of hugs and kisses and snuggles too!  If someone asks if they can have love, I usually lean into them and headbutt them.  Sometimes I even wrap my arms around people and give real hugs.    I have been doing this to books for a while, but I have started putting my lips on people for kisses!
If I am asked about animal noises, they all make the same sound: "mmmm, mmmm!"  It all sounds the same to me!  I am getting really good at pointing out the correct animal in books though.
I have a couple of other tricks too.  I am getting really good at waving at people, especially cars.  I seem to know when it is time to leave and start waving all on my own.  I also like to test gravity.  I love throwing my food on the floor and hearing it splat.  It is a really fun game to drop anything and watch other people pick it back up so I can do it again!
We had some snow and ice this week, so Ellie and Daddy had a snow day and we ran some errands and had a fun family day.  Ellie had a late start another day.  That same day, Mommy took us to a Frozen party at the library.  I just wanted to play with the crayons and try to escape!  Mommy also took me to another counselor meeting and I showed off my walking skills there.
Another thing I have been doing is waking up early, sometimes before 5 AM.  Mommy and Daddy don't seem too happy about that!  At first, Mommy thought it was because I didn't get enough milk the two days she was gone, but when I kept doing it, she was on to me!  They have tried some tough love the last couple of days, and I think I get the picture.  Sleep until the sun comes up-got it!
50 Weeks-I always wake up with these rosy cheeks!
What are you in for?
I am just returning brown puppy and pink monkey, honest!  Please don't tell Ellie!
 Cuddle time with Mommy
And a hug for her too!
 What?  I'm just entertaining myself!

Awwww...loving on my 101 Dalmatian puppy
It makes Mommy so happy when I fall asleep on her.  She knows these times won't last much longer!
