I can't believe it is the end of 3rd grade! I've been telling Mom constantly how old I will be so she will be sad, but now I'm a 4th grader! I went to Ellie's 8th grade promotion and thought it was pretty boring. Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Tom, and Papa Ron and Linda came, and we all had cake, so that was pretty cool. I enjoyed the last day of school and am ready for summer fun!
I got to hang out with a lot of friends this month after school was out. I went to Amelia's birthday party at Buff City Soaps and got to make my own bath bombs. Ellie, Mom and I went to Aaron's for Memorial Day. I went to Autumn's house to play and had Leivann over here to play. Stacey, Harrison, and Carter came here to visit. I was supposed to go to Flipz Fun Night but Mom forgot to sign me up. Instead, I went swimming at the country club with Sally and over to her house afterwards while my family was at Ellie's sand volleyball game
I went to my new doctor, and she said I am a very healthy (and tall!) girl! I also went to the dentist. I wasn't able to get into EEE summer school, so Mom signed me up for summer school at Cedar Ridge. She said it was for "socialization", but I really think she just likes to torture me. I started swim lessons again too (another torture because that water is so cold!) I also am signed up to do track meets on Wednesday nights. I did the long jump (6'2, 6th place), 400 meter (1:41, 5th place), and 200 meter (46.19, 6th place) in my first meet. I said that I wished there were more than 4 meets this summer and that I wanted to do track in middle school, just like Ellie. I did NOT want to go to the second track meet (more torture?) but did anyway and did my best. I was able to throw the shot put (11'3), and run the 400 meter (1:50) and 200 meter (?). I didn't place in any of these events, but that's ok. I'll try again next week!
I am becoming a little more independent now since school has been out. I have taken it upon myself to make my own lunch. I am starting to take showers by myself and get the shampoo out of my hair. I also decided to use Duolingo to learn Japanese on mom's iPad. I take those lessons very seriously just in case I ever go to Japanese.
Mom and I went to Washington for Father's Day. At first I didn't want to go because playing on the iPad is much more fun. We spent the morning with late morning and early afternoon with Papa Ron. We went for a ride to St. John's in his Jaguar (I was nervous that someone would reach into the convertible and grab something) and played Uno. Then, we went to Nickie's bridal shower at a winery. I asked if I had to drink wine! We got to hang out with Grandma Kathy and Becca (not drinking wine). We headed back into Washington to have dinner at Aldo's with Papa Ron and Linda, Mark and Chase, and Duane and Mary. I got to try Sundrop for the first time and liked it! We spent the night at Papa Ron's house and had breakfast there in the morning. Mom dropped me off at Uncle Mark's to play with Chase while she visited with her high school coach. I'm so glad Chase and I have so much in common. I also got to try Cherry Sundrop and that was delicious! Then, we took off for Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Tom's to celebrate Father's Day. Uncle Jeff's family was there and I got to hang out with my older cousins. I finally realized that I wanted to be there and asked to spend the night since we didn't have school the next day. As we were leaving, I told Grandma Kathy that "I could stay here forever!" The next day, we went to Aunt Lisa and Uncle Otto's to celebrate Father's Day. I had so much fun playing with my girl cousins and Ellie.
