1 Year, 9 Months...Word Explosion!

You wouldn't believe all the things I can say now!  Mommy said she hasn't been as good at keeping up with writing down the words I say as she was with Ellie, but when she did this weekend, she came up with over 55 words!  I can really have a good conversation.  I recently learned"hop" for rabbit, "monkey", "back" to put toys away, some version of "Ellie", "right now", "right da" (right there), "quack, quack", "Daddy wok" (Daddy is at work", "ac-oo" (acorn), "Wucky" (Lucky), "Go Zou" (Go Mizzou!), "step", "see" so I can see what they are cooking, "wuck" (rock), "shoe", "zip", and "cacker" (cracker.)  Mommy is pretty sure she is forgetting some!
Mommy had to go to TanTarA for her conference and took Ellie and me down there on a Friday night.  I was pretty mad/sad in the car because it was dark, but not time to sleep yet.  I couldn't see and was bored!  I slept like a champ in the hotel though!  Daddy joined us the next morning.  Ellie and I ran around where Daddy and Mommy met 11 years ago.  After Mommy got out of her morning meeting, we went to the outlet mall to do some shopping.  It was a lot of fun, and Daddy took us home after.  We missed Mommy, but did great with Daddy.
The next weekend, we went to Washington.  We got to see Grandma Kathy's work, played outside a lot, ate dinner with Great-Grandma Rose, and just had fun!  I can't wait to go back!
We also went to Barnes and Noble for a book fair for North Callaway.  I didn't want any part of the stroller.  I just wanted to run around and play!

20 1/2 Months...the words are slowly coming!

I went along to a lot of events the past couple of weeks.  I got to go to Mommy and Ellie's school for a chili supper and costume contest.  Ellie wanted to be a dog and Mommy and Daddy could only find a Dalmatian costume for her.  Mommy and the whole staff were supposed to be Dalmatians, so guess what I got to be?  It was fun to see all that people and I did pretty well considering it was a huge disruption to my schedule.  It was just Mommy taking care of us and working, so there were no pictures of all three of us.
The next night, Mommy took Ellie and me to the first set of an MU volleyball game.  We had to leave because it was my bedtime, but I really liked growling at all the Tigers I saw there!
I went to Ellie's last two soccer games too.  We had more play dates with the crew too!
Ellie had a few birthday parties and play dates on her own that Mommy went to, so I got to hang out with Daddy quite a bit.  I am really getting to be a Daddy's girl.  I come running to him when he comes home and give him huge hugs!
We got to have a fun day of Halloween parties at Miss Bruna's.  I got to drop pumpkins into a bucket and had a lot of pumpkin fun!  We also pretended to trick or treat so I knew what to do when the real time came!  We went to Nana Arden and Papa Rodney's, Mr. Kenny's, and Miss Rachel's before hitting our two neighbors houses.  I was really enjoying myself, but had an accident in my costume and had to throw away the tights!  Mommy took Ellie to a Halloween party, and I stayed home and helped Daddy hand out candy.  That was fun too!
Our whole family went to an MU volleyball game and we almost made it through all 5 sets!  If it hadn't been dinner time, I think I would have been able to do it!  I was getting pretty tired of sitting in one spot though.  We got to have a Mommy, Ellie, and Emily day too on a random Tuesday off.  We went to the bank, the library, to get my flu shot, Sam's, and the park.  I LOVED climbing and going down the slide.  I could have done that all day!
I am really starting to say more words now!  I said, "help" when I was trying to get oatmeal out of a bowl.  I went to the refrigerator and said and signed, "milk".  When someone said "horse", I said, "mi-nigh" for Miss Bruna's horse Midnight.  I was also hungry one morning and went to the stove, said, "hot", and took out 4 pots for Mommy to cook!  I'm making those connections! I like to say "bee bee" for baby.  I am getting pretty good at pouting too!  If I don't like what is happening, I hang my head low, stick out my lips, and start stomping away.  Too bad it doesn't work!
