I have been a lot more withdrawn and quiet since we have been in virtual school. Winter break came at just the right time.
We have been playing outside with Molly and Athena a lot.
They are really silly and love to chase each other and steal sticks from each
other. We had a visit from Aunt Lisa and
Camille, and then Jacob and Corinne to meet Athena. Our
family has been playing a lot of family games as well.
I have been playing lots of Pokemon this month. Ellie even got more interested in it and will
give gifts and trade with me when she feels like it. She even came to the park with us one day! Ellie and I love to have movie nights and campouts
where we either sleep in the living room or she sleeps on my floor. It’s so nice being with her.
Christmas was definitely different this year. On Christmas Eve, we Zoomed with Grandma Kathy
and Grandpa Tom while we opened our gifts.
On Christmas Day, we opened our gifts at home and had a little extra
time to play because we didn’t have to rush anywhere. Santa brought me Lunala and Solgaleo stuffed
animals! You can never have too many
Pokemon stuffies! Ellie drew me a
picture of my four favorite Pokemon (which switch every day.) Mom and Dad got me a lot of things, but the
biggest gift was a Nintendo Switch! I
was so surprised, and I love playing Let’s Go Eevee on it. Later, we Zoomed
with Nana Arden and Papa Rodney and the whole family in the evening. There were so many gifts from other people
too to open-Papa Ron, Bryan and Cindy, Aunt Sherry and Uncle Ray, Ellen, Papa Rick
and Nana Peggy. It was a little overwhelming.
We stayed home on New Year’s Eve instead of going to the
play date friends’ house for a party.
Mom made homemade sugar cookies and we spent hours decorating them and
laughing and having a fun time. We even
stayed up until midnight!
Mom has noticed some things that I have done lately that
show that I really am still a playful kid.
During a movie night, she caught me feeding Mewtwo some popcorn. I hate the word “cute” and would prefer to be
called “cool” at all costs. I love to
bounce a big exercise ball in my room when I am not in class. I also love to watch videos on my breaks instead
of taking a screen break. I am getting
super big too! I am 50 pounds and 50
inches!
I found out that I got into EEE, the gifted program at
school. I was really scared at first but
then excited when Ellie told me all about it.
This year, we will just be Zooming with the teacher and then doing independent
work but hopefully next year, I will go to the gifted center and have major and
minor classes just like Ellie did!
We did get to go back to school on the 19th. I was excited to see Miss Maude and my friends, but the first thing I said was that I was going to be tired from getting up so much earlier! I also was not looking forward to wearing a mask again, but I am doing great. And I love that school lunch! It will be interesting to see what the rest of the school year will look like!
