44 Weeks...So this is what Christmas is all about

Boy, this Christmas thing sure is busy!!!  We started the week with Christmas with Nana Carol and Papa Ron's family at our house.  I didn't know what they wanted me to do with this present.  Ellie had to show me to rip the paper off.  I'm so confused because they usually take things away when I want to rip them.
We had a couple of days at home before the marathon began.  I was pretty tired from the first Christmas and slept in the car while Ellie got to go in the library.  Then we tried to visit Mr. Kenny but he wasn't home so we visited our old neighbor Stan.
On Christmas Eve, we traveled to Washington.  We first went to Great-Grandma Rose's.  I think she really enjoyed our visit.  Then we went to Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Tom's and had a big celebration there.  I was pretty tired and slept during the first part of the gift opening.  It was fun to watch everyone and play after I woke up.  We drove back to Columbia that night so Santa could visit us.
Ellie was waiting for me to wake up Christmas morning so we could open our presents.  I was allowed in the Christmas tree room for that, so it must have been a big deal!  Santa brought me Violet and a ride-on elephant.  I was really more interested in Ellie's markers than anything else.  We left to go to Nana Arden and Papa Rodney's for the rest of the day.  I struggled to nap there, but finally did.  Still not too interested in the presents.  We went over there the next day too because Aunt Michele, Uncle Roger, and Daniel were in town.
Man, I am exhausted!

Sitting in a big chair playing with Legos!
My first present-a first year ornament from Nana Carol!
Oh look-I got a card I can eat!
It really is OK to rip this?
I'm not so sure about this anymore, Uncle Duane!
 Playing with my new phone

 Mmmmm...broccoli!
Working on my fine motor skills
 Tickles from Daddy
 I love playing!
We got to touch Elmo the Elf on his last night because he left some pixie dust to get him back to the North Pole
All those presents and I would rather play with laminated paper!
 This is making me sleepy!
Grandma Kathy held me for a while so I could watch better
Just hanging out with my Wubbanub
 Christmas baby!
Playing the drums with Uncle Jeff
I did like the puffs that I got
Checking out the stuff under the tree on Christmas morning
But I would rather play with Ellie's markers
Or use the boxes to cruise
I was excited to see this toy though
And I got two more Wubbanubs!
 Reading my new book
 With Mommy on Christmas
Checking out my popcorn popper with Nana Arden
Catherine and I hung out quite a bit.
It was so nice that I got to play outside on Christmas day without a coat!
Sharing my toys with Ellie.  I loved the glow bracelet from the night before though.
 Sitting in my new chair
But I really like to use it to cruise around
But there are fun buttons to press!
 Hugging Ellie before bedtime
 Naked baby!
 So much sisterly love!
 Big girl!
Happy to see Great-Grandma Rose (really, I was-I was just tired here!)
 What are those Papa Rodney?
I played with Jonathan too-I kept handing him toys.
 Snuggling Nana Arden
Loving on Violet
Actually interested in a present
I really just wanted to use the presents for cruising and climbing!
There are many uses for this chair!

43 Weeks...Gearing up for Christmas!

Even though Christmas is next week, this has been a pretty typical week.  We did go to see the Magic Tree which was really pretty, but we didn't stay long because Ellie was feeling bad.  When Ellie was feeling better, we took a family walk because the weather was so nice.  Unfortunately, we had to pick Ellie up early from school because her fever came back.  It was nice to have her home, but I don't like how tired she was.  Good thing she is better now, and I never got it!I did a lot of errands with Mommy this week and my naps have been a little messed up.  If I get in my crib at the right time, I will take a really good morning nap.  The afternoon nap is usually a little shorter, and sometimes I still take my really short third nap before dinner.  I have started waking up and screaming about an hour after I go to bed.  Mommy and Daddy used to come in to help calm me down, but that wasn't working, so now they just let me cry.  I wish I could tell them what is wrong!
Instead of walking at the mall this week, Autumn and I got to play in the play place at the mall.  There was that white stuff on the ground again and traffic got us there late.  It was nice to move around, but I was getting pretty tired.
I'm doing a couple of new things this week.  I open my mouth a lot in a "surprised" look.  Mommy doesn't ever seem to have the camera to get a picture when I am doing it.  I am also starting to point to things that I want, like my pacifier.  Mommy likes that I am starting to "communicate" more with her.  I also started to "play ball".  I am really trying hard to roll it back when someone rolls it to me.  I found that if I put it over my head and drop it, it goes pretty far!
Today I got to go to Ellie's Christmas party at school.  I hear there is lots of family fun and other surprises coming up this next week.  I can't wait!

I like to use this toy as a walker
Just checking out what is going on outside (I love to pull the vent off the floor right by me!)
Outside really is fascinating
 The front yard is too!

My favorite thing to get into-my sister's markers!
This is the open mouth face I keep making
Playing with my baby friend Autumn at the mall
The pretty Magic Tree
We had to take turns taking pictures

A rare nap on Mommy since my sleep was all messed up!
I discovered that if I tug on this ornament, the rest of them jiggle!  How fun!
Ellie was helping me get the last drop!
