2 Years, 8 Months...Mood swings!

I started off this month on a very crabby note.  All I wanted to do was be held by Mommy, and I whined and cried if she wasn't standing up holding me.  I spent and entire Ellie's soccer game screaming and crying.  I finally realized that they weren't going to give in, and so I gave up.  (They also realized that giving me a sucker during the game makes me stop!)  I cry every once in a while, but it isn't as bad.
Mommy took Ellie and me apple picking with the Moenkhoff's.  I had a lot of fun looking at all the apples.  I fell so many times after I stepped on the apples that fell on the ground.  I just got back up and went on my way!  We did lots of playing there too, and I brought home my own bag of apples!  Too bad I told Mommy I didn't like her homemade applesauce!
I had a visit from Katrice, my Parents as Teachers person.  She is so much fun.  I remembered a lot that we did the last time, and went to the get the balloon.  She wanted me to do other stuff though, like talk about feelings.  Good thing Mommy talks to me about that all the time!
We did some other fun stuff too.  We went to McTeacher Night for Mommy's school and I had a lot of fun climbing in the play structure after eating my Happy Meal.  We had a play date at Bella's and at our house.  We got to go to the zoo!  It was pretty cool to see all the animals.  My favorite were the tigers and monkeys.  That same day, we went to Dr. Chandler's (Mommy's boss) farm.  I got to feed the chickens and play volleyball with the big kids.  I also drank my first Sonic slushie.  Oh boy, was that a thrill!  Mommy and Ellie enjoyed some donuts with me one morning at Pastries with Parents.  It was really hard though when they left for the day.  My schedule was thrown off!
When I get in the car, I either sing or talk non-stop.  Sometimes it is to myself and other times I like an audience.  One time when Ellie was talking, I said, "Ellie, you stop talking.  I talk now!"  Sometimes when I get in trouble and lose a privilege for telling Mommy or Daddy "no", I then say, "I don't want to say no!"  I am also asking a lot of why questions, especially when I know the answer to them.  My favorite is asking, "Why are we stopping?" when we are in the car.  I also like to point out, "There's the gas station!" and "There's the park!"  I asked to watch "Dora and Dee-way-go (Diego)"
