31 Weeks...Doing lots of new stuff

Hi!  I have been surprising everyone this week.  I slept until 8:45 on Sunday morning!  Somehow, I figured out how to sleep on my tummy and I get really comfortable in that position.  I had some really good naps this week like that too.  Up until now, I didn't nap for longer than an hour at a time as a general rule.  Now, you never know how long I will nap!  Also this week, I pulled up on the couch from a sitting position into a standing position.  I also went from laying on my tummy to sitting up once.  My favorite thing to do though is to swim in circles on the floor on my tummy!
I also gave Mommy some open-mouthed kisses this week.  She seemed to love it!  I also like to dig my face into her shoulder when I am ready for a nap.  I have to show her somehow because she doesn't understand a word I say!
We went to Nana Arden's this week and spent some time outside, and Nana Arden watched us for a couple of hours while Mommy and Daddy went to a meeting at Ellie's school.  Mommy took me to the library this week and to help at Ellie's school.  We also went for a walk with Marion and Autumn again.  Mommy took us to the park after we picked Ellie up from school and I giggled a lot on the swing!  We all went to the North Callaway volleyball game too.
I got to try green beans this week, and I think plums are on the menu for next week!  I don't seem as constipated either.  Maybe that is because I am slowly figuring out how to drink the juice from the sippy cup!

30 Weeks...I have teeth!!!

After all the drool, biting, and lack of sleep...I finally have teeth!  Two of them poked through this week, just shy of 7 months.  I am not letting anyone see them or feel them though.  I have to keep them a secret!
A lot of people say babies get diarrhea when they are teething, but I have been really constipated this week.  I never drank from a cup before and haven't had a bottle since the beginning of June, but Mommy wanted me to drink water and juice to help me poop.  I just really like to chew on the cup and I think the bottle is funny and just play with it.  Not sure what they expect from me!  So, I've been eating a lot of pears and peaches this week to help me out.
I also was able to get into the crawling position, but I'm not sure what to do from there.
Mommy has taken me with her to so many things this week.  I went with her to help out at Ellie's school, to a doctor's appointment with her, to meet up with some of her counseling friends, and I got to go for a walk with Marion and Autumn.  We took turns crying on the walk.  I think we were both tired, but Mommy and Marion want to make this a regular thing.  Mommy also had a couple of friends over for dinner this week.  I like seeing new people, but I definitely don't like to nap when I meet them.  I might miss something!
Ellie and I also got to go to the North Callaway homecoming parade this week!  There was so much to see and hear!

29 Weeks...Just hanging out

This has been a pretty relaxed week.  I got to meet my Great Aunt Michele when she came for a visit.  She is a lot of fun.  The whole family went to the Mizzou volleyball game.  That was a lot of fun because there was so much to watch!  But, I fought sleep like it was my job!  The next day, I got to go to my cousin Jace's 1st birthday party.  I was so tired, I slept the whole way down there.  Everyone thought I was a really good baby.  That must mean it's true, right?  Mommy walked me down to the dock where everyone was fishing.  I gave up and fell asleep easier than the night before and slept most of the way home.
I got to try avocado for my breakfast this week with oatmeal and I love it!  Mommy took me to storytime at the library too.
I am really getting big!  My car seat is now at the highest level and I will only be able to use it for a little longer.  I am a lot taller than Ellie was at this age.  That means Mommy will have to carry me anywhere we go when I move to the next car seat!  My naps this week have been really short.  Maybe it is because I am teething, I don't know though.  I have also been "swimming" in circles all over the floor.  I just can't wait to move!!!

28 Weeks...What a fun week!

We started off this week with a three day weekend!  I got to go to several BBQ's and see my cousins.  I can tell I am going to have a lot of fun with them when I get older!  I went to a Parents as Teachers screening and am right on track.  The educator said we should be watching for me to crawl any time now!  I have been moving and swimming around on the floor more lately.  Mommy took me to Marion's house so they could work on the growth charts and I got to play with my baby friend Autumn again.  We liked to grab for each other!  After we picked Ellie up from school, we went to the spray park.  That was my first time being there out of my stroller.  I wasn't really sure what to think of the water.  Today I went to a counselor meeting with Mommy and all her friends were so surprised how big I have gotten!
I have gotten really big this week!  Now, when Mommy asks, "How big is Emily?", I raise my arms in the air and she says, "So Big!"  I am starting to think things like that are really funny.  I am starting to really interact with people.  Just wait to see what I will do next!

27 Weeks...I'm a big girl!!!

I have changed so much this week!  I am so much more interactive.  I love to play Peek-A-Boo.  I like to hide my own face and wait until everyone is looking for me to surprise them!  I am also getting really good at using my hands.  I am figuring out my pacifier and new toys a lot better.  I like to see what kind of noise they make when I bang them together.  I am also lifting my head up higher off the ground, and push my heels or toes into the ground to scoot.  I just can't wait to move around like my sister does!
This week, we went to a baby shower, to my cousin Corinne's birthday party, got my 6 month pictures taken, had my 6 month check-up, went to Mommy's friend's house to make a growth chart and play with my baby friend Autumn, and went to the first ever North Callaway volleyball game.  It was a busy week!
Dr. Prica said I am growing just fine and looking great!  I weigh 18 pounds (75 %ile) and am 28 1/4 inches long (off the charts!)  I guess I take after my daddy!  I got three shots and was sleepy that morning, then crabby and out of sorts.  I have been more teary, clingy, and eat more.  Although when I tried applesauce for the first time, I didn't like it!  I'm not sure if it was the taste or how cold they were, but I closed my lips tight!
