We had our family birthday party the next weekend. It was a rainbow theme and I got to help get the food and decorations ready. It was so much fun spending time with my family and getting presents! I was so excited about my new Pikachu sleeping friend, lots of Legos, and a Marshal Paw Patrol truck that changes to an airplane. I really just love all of my gifts and I get so excited to open them! I still need work on blowing out candles!
I said that I was nervous to turn 5 the day before, but there was nothing to worry about. I celebrated my birthday at school with Pikachu cupcakes. After school, we went to "King Burger" to play and eat.
We have also had a lot of snow days again. Unfortunately, I have a fever during some of them. I stayed home with Dad one day and Mom the next day, even though she was sick too. We spent the day on the couch and I enjoyed watching Paw Patrol the whole day. We had several other snow days, including one where I got picked up early on Ellie's birthday. It took us a long time to get home. There was another snow day the day before my birthday.
We were able to head to Washington one weekend. We were finally able to celebrate Christmas with Papa Ron. It was so good to see him again. Mom went with him to a party in the evening, and Ellie and I got to spend the night without any parents with Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Tom. I had a hard time the rest of the weekend because I was so tired and still a little sick. I cried and whined a lot and was really crabby until I caught up on sleep.
Our class had a Valentine's Day party and it was an ice cream sundae feast! It was disappointing that Mom and Dad couldn't make my last preschool party. I know it was hard on my Mom too.
I have spent a lot of time reading. Mommy has brought some books home from school and I love showing off that I can read them. I am for sure reading a Level 2!
One morning I woke up early and Mom came in my room to sleep with me. I woke her up and put my face in hers and said, "I have super powers" in a creepy voice. When she asked me what they were, I said also in a creepy voice, "I can't tell you!" At night, I love when Daddy lays in bed with me and we play a game on his phone. It is fun when "we are on a winning street" (streak.) When I found out that Ellie gets to stay home alone for a couple hours every once in a while, I asked if I could stay home by myself. I didn't understand why not and told Mom, "I can handle it, Mom. I can do this!"
