19 Months...Getting to be a big kid!

They have kept me busy around here!  Some of the fun places we went the past couple of weeks include a dinner at Nana Arden's, a play date at Bella's, an ice cream social at Mommy and Ellie's school, Ellie's soccer games, and the North Callaway homecoming parade.  I was scared of everything at the parade at first, but then really started to like it.  Luckily, it is the shortest parade in the history of the world, so I didn't have to be there too long!  We also had a play date/soccer practice here.
I finally got my bottom two canine teeth, so they should all be in now until the molars.  That makes 16 in all.  I am starting to try and use them to bite Mommy lately.  The first time after she told me "no" and I did it again, she put me in time out in my crib.  I was so mad, but she meant business!  She told me that teeth are only used for biting food and not people.  I nodded my head like I understood, but we'll see the next time I am tempted!
I am getting to be such a big kid.  I like to eat at the table instead of on my high chair tray and I like to eat with utensils now too!
I am also starting to repeat words now!  One day when Mommy picked me up from Miss Bruna's, she said I had been saying color words.  Mommy didn't believe it, but I repeated "red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple!"  Of course I wouldn't do it for the camera!

18 1/2 Months...Change can be good!

I am growing so much!  At my 18 month doctor's appointment, I weighed 25.2 pounds and was 33 inches tall!  Dr. Prica said I was easily in the 95th %ile just looking at me.  He isn't too worried about me not talking much, although I did learn a new word this month-"NO!"  It usually comes with a push or shove or kick.  Mommy and Daddy are happy I said a new word, but not thrilled with the delivery!  I also just recently help sing the fishy song.  At the end when it says "bubble, bubble, bubble, bubble, POP!", I say, "bub, bub, bub, bub" and clap my hands!  See, I'm getting it!
I had my 18 month pictures taken too, and I just wanted to run away!
Mommy took Ellie to a lot of birthday parties recently, so I got to hang out with Daddy!  I really like our time together.  He does things differently than Mommy does, and that's a good thing.  He also picked me up from Bruna's one day when Mommy had a meeting.  Our whole family got to go to Corinne's birthday party and I played on the riding toys outside.  We also had a play date at Brynn's, but I was really tired after long days at Miss Bruna's so I was a little crabby.
I had a really high fever (103.3) starting on a Friday and lasting into Saturday.  I was just really cranky and miserable.  Nana Arden stayed with me that Friday, and I took two naps a day for three days!  I think I needed to catch up!  I felt a lot better after the weekend.
Auntie Heather, Uncle Sean, Ashley, and Ian came to visit this past weekend.  It was a lot of fun having them here!
