10 Years, 11 Months...Family and friends Christmas time fun!
More to come...
I had a lot of friend and family time this month. Miss Amanda and Kyrie were in town from Oklahoma and I got to play with her at her Grandma's house. I really missed Kyrie! I had Savannah and Luna over to spend the night.
I was really looking forward to Christmas and opening presents! On Christmas Eve,we went to Great Grandma Rose's house and visited her. Then, we went to Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Tom's. I wasn't feeling great and read most of the time there. I was also pretty tired, so I stayed at home with Dad for the Church service and went to bed early. I had another wiggly tooth and Ellie pulled it out before going to Church!
We had a quiet Christmas at home, and went to Aunt Lisa's to celebrate in the evening. Papa Ron and Linda came here the next day. Linda gave me a card shuffler that I loved at their house, and gave our family the Fast Track game that we enjoy playing. We played a lot of it that day and our family has played it almost every night since.
Aurora took Ellie, Avonlea, and me to the Wicked sing-a-long movie. I have been listening to the music on Alexa since then. Jonathan and Jacob were home and we went to the Fajens for games one day. We went over there another day for a family picture. We had a Brunch worship again at Church and I discovered that I lov French toast sticks!
New Year's Eve was Emily day! Mom took me shopping to spend the money Papa Ron gave me for Christmas. I had a lot of fun picking out clothes that I liked. I learned a lot about budgeting and sales and ended up with a lot of awesome new digs. We ate a Subway, I fell in love with Bath and Body Works, and I got my first pair of Converse shoes. That night, I had Luna over and we did our traditional cookie decorating. We stayed up really late. I went to Luna's aunt's house the next day to eat clam chowder (it was ok) and pet horses.
Jill and Ale came to visit us. Aurora and Avonlea came over to hang out and I got to have a lot of fun talking about the Warrior Cats. The next day, Autumn came over to hang out.
We had a lot of snow and ice and missed our first three days that we were supposed to go back to school. We were supposed to do Alternative Methods of Instruction (AMI) on our days off which was pretty easy-a lot of reading, math problems, and easy work. We only went to school Thursday that week so I only got to go to EEE before we had a lot of snow and had Friday off. We left early to go to Lawrence, Kansas for Ellie's first volleyball tournament. I spent a lot of time on my Switch and reading, and helped put up the score for a game for live streaming.
Papa Ron and Linda came up to deliver a couch and we played more Fast Track. Our family has been playing almost every night.
We had a 3 day weekend for MLK day. I had Savannah and Luna spend the night. I went to Ottos's the next day and hung out with him. Mom took Ellie and me to the dentist and then visited Aurora and Avonlea the next day. It was so cold, we had a late start the day back. I'm getting used to not having school!

10 Years, 10 Months...Thanksgiving time
More to come...
We tried to do a lot of fun things this month even though Ellie was struggling. I had Savannah spent the night so that distracted me.
I went to Ellie's Hometown Heroes game in Jefferson City. She was selected to play with multiple volleyball players from around the area and do a showcase. I was mostly excited about getting Central Dairy before the game. I also went to her volleyball banquet. There, I was most excited about the cookies that they had.
We celebrated Thanksgiving early at Lisa's house. It didn't feel like Thanksgiving, but we had fun playing games. I got my hair cut and had another game night at Aunt Lisa's with Dad. Our family went to Washington for Thanksgiving. We went to Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Tom's and I was very quiet and kept to myself. I didn't feel great and enjoyed reading my books. We went to Papa Ron and Linda's the next day and played a lot of Fast Track, girls against guys (mom being a guy.) The girls won every game!
We had some snow and Mom and I played outside, making snow angels and going sledding. I have quite a few wiggly teeth and was scared to pull any out. Ellie didn't hesitant pulled that tooth right out of there! We had our school Christmas concert so I got to perform with the 5th grade and the choir. Ellie even came to watch! We also enjoyed St. Nicholas' visit.
I have been looking forward to JA Biztown. The 5th grade has been preparing by learning about jobs and checking accounts. Mom wanted to go on the field trip but has missed so many days this semester and couldn't. Dad was off that day and decided to go! He was stationed to help another group though. I was the CEO of BizMart, and our group made slime and sold bandanas and Mochi's. I worked with Sally as the CFO and we worked well together. I think we both decided to put our differences behind us. The 5th grade also went to the Nature school for 2 days again. I was not looking forward to it, but made it through. I'm just not an outdoors kind of person.
We finally had our last day of school before a long break. It was Nana Arden's birthday, so we went to celebrate and eat dinner at her house. It had been a long time since we had done that. We also had our Church Christmas dinner. I'm looking forward to opening presents for Christmas!
