8 Years, 9 Months..Lots of activities!

Our school had the Monster Mash and I loved playing all the games outside and watching Mom get pies thrown in her face.  I dressed as Harry Potter.  Our family went to the MU Homecoming parade and I enjoyed looking at all the floats and getting lots of can

I had Sally over to play one day.  We get along just fine when screens aren’t involved.  We are both creative and love to come up with new games to play.  Our school had a spirit week and I participated in the stuffed animal and PJ day.

Our Church had Fall Fun Fest at Midway Golf and Games.  We played different games and did trunk or treat.  It was a very rainy day, but I enjoyed the ice cream at the end!  We went to Papa Rodney and Nana Arden’s before and hung out with them.

We had a Halloween party at school.  One of the games involved straws that whistled really loud.  That got thrown away quickly!  I dressed up as Harry Potter and went trick or treating with Mom and couldn’t wait to hand out candy when we got back.  I got so excited it was hard to calm down at bedtime.

Mom and Dad went to their annual school counseling conference and Grandma Kathy stayed with us.  It was so nice to have her here.  We didn’t have school, so we got to hang out more than usual.  Grandma Kathy took us to Schnucks, and we got donuts!

Mom and Dad came to my parent teacher conference with Mrs. Cassidy.  She said I am doing well in all areas.  It seems like all students are a little behind in math, but I have a good number sense, so it is not a worry.  I am doing better about keeping quiet when I need to and do well with just a reminder.

I didn’t want to, but Mom took me to a Mizzou volleyball game just to get Mizzou jibbitz for our Crocs.  We didn’t even get to see the first serve because it was time to get Ellie from volleyball practice.  (I ended up losing my jibbitz.)

We had our Learning Fair at EEE.  Mom was able to come, and I got to show off my Da Vinci work.  I was really proud of my birdwing drawing.  Our 3rd grade class was going to the Symphony for a field trip that day, so Sheil’s mom and my mom drove us there.  It was a long concert, but I enjoyed it.  I was glad to be back with my class.

I was so surprised when Sally and her mom invited me to go to Great Wolf Lodge with them!  Her dad was supposed to go but couldn’t, so she asked me!  I had been there when I was really little, but I don’t remember it.  I had so much fun on the big slides, but Sally was scared.  I spent time back and forth, going down the slides with Mom and playing with Sally.  There were so many other fun things there-scavenger hunts, snow dances, trivia, and the Magi Quest!  Sally and I ran around with wands trying to complete our quests.  Of course, this ended in an argument, but we finished the quests that were working!  It was such a good time and I have been asking to go back ever since!
