8 Years Old...Lots of time at home!

We had a lot of days off school this month!  Between snow days, 3 days off to relieve the stress of Covid, and holidays, I had a lot of time to play at home.  Our family also played in the snow and played a lot of games.  I got to run a lot of errands with mom the day that Dad took Ellie to a volleyball tournament.  We went shopping for my birthday cake, Valentines, and ordering things. I usually like to just stay at home and play on electronics, read, or play with my toys.  Our family also went clothes shopping and I got a lot of new t-shirts and decided that I like to wear dresses.

I have really enjoyed Math Club after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays with Mrs. Heath.  We have been doing a lot of measuring.  I really enjoy my classmates, especially CJ.  I love to talk to him, sometimes when I'm not supposed to.  I got sent to a buddy room for the first time for talking.  It wasn't a big deal when mom found out, but I started crying when I had to talk to dad.  I wrote a note to Mrs. Heath, apologizing and saying that I wouldn't do it again.  I now sit in a chair by myself when we are at the carpet to help me, just like I did in kindergarten.  It seems to be helping, because I got all checks the next week and was one of two kids who got Star Student!

We had our 100th day of school on a half day after a long weekend from snow.  It was a crazy but fun day!  We had a lot of separate visitors for Ellie and my birthday.  Nana Arden and Papa Rodney came for a little bit one weekend and we got to hang out.  Papa Ron and Linda came the next weekend and we had fun playing the What Do You Meme game.  Autumn came yesterday to play, and Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Tom came today to celebrate our birthdays!  For my birthday, we had donuts this morning, and Wendy's for lunch.  It was fun stretching out the visits, and I hardly remember what a birthday party is actually like!

Other fun things were watching the Super Bowl and eating Pizza Rolls, and having our Valentine's Day party at school.  Mom and Dad met with Pastor Carol about us officially joining the Church and I am excited.  I really like it there.
