8 Years, 2 Months...Soccer and Easter!

I started soccer again this month!  Our team is a little different and I really miss my old coaches, but I'm still having fun and making new friends.  We have had 2 games so far and lost both.  We haven't even scored a goal-yet!

We have had some family fun this month too.  Dad took me to raid night one night and we even walked around downtown.  For spring break, we mostly stayed home, but we started watching a show that I found called Is It Cake? and it is a lot of fun.  I have had Autumn over almost every week and we are very imaginative in our play.  We made videos and asked to start a YouTube Channel.  Our show is for people to guess who is holding up a stuffed animal and we sound just like the YouTubers!  Ellie, Mom, and I got our hair cut and we went as a family to get ice cream and eat it at the park that night.  Mom took Ellie and me to STL to briefly visit Aunt Heather and Uncle Sean and then had lunch with Papa Ron.  It was so good to see him and I gave him a big hug.  That's the last time we will visit his office because he is retiring next month.  Then, we went to Washington to see Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Tom.  We always love going there!

Dad came to school for Donuts with Dudes and we sat with Sally and Caleb and their Dads.  I got to go to Peter's birthday party the next day at Sky Zone.  I had never been there before, but had so much fun!  It was Minecraft themed, so it was right up my alley!  I got to watch part of one of Ellie's track meets.  Basically we sat there for hours waiting for her to run and I only got to see one event.  It wasn't as interesting as volleyball, but I was a trooper and supported her!

I got a sore throat and fever before Easter and spent one day home with Mom and another day home with Dad.  I missed another EEE day, and it was a field trip day.  I was so disappointed.  Dad was sick the day home with the same thing but I was feeling better, so I entertained myself.  I kept apologizing to him for getting him sick and interrupting his sleep.  He said I was being so sweet.

Our family went to Good Friday mass and I learned about how Jesus died.  On Saturday, I went to the Church Easter egg hunt and made a carton of Resurrection eggs.  I had so much fun with my friends.  I went straight there to my soccer game.  Nana Arden came to watch!  Last, we had Dad's whole family here to visit and eat dinner.  It was good to get together again.  We went to Easter Mass and to Washington as a family.  It was good to get together with family again at Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Tom's house.  We had an egg hunt downstairs because it was raining.  We also got to have a Zoom call with Papa Rick and Nana Peggy.  We haven't seen them in a long time and it's the first time we talked to them since Papa Rick has been in the hospital.  I had a hard time focusing and paying attention so they didn't see much of me.  Maybe next time!

Mom has been busy doing things with Ellie (track, concert) so I have been spending a lot of time with Dad.  I have also been spending a lot of time on screens and with Pokémon and Minecraft.  I'm doing a lot of talking and need a lot of reminders at school and getting into arguments with Sally, so we are cutting some screen time out.  I don't like it, but my brain does feel a lot better when I am not doing it as much.  We will see how it goes next month!
