We have had some other family fun too this month. We went to the park, went swimming and to the spray park, had a Barbie movie night, played Candyland and a LOT of open-handed UNO (which I am very good at!) I love to get the yellow skip cards and always say, "You're in trouble" when I get a Draw 2 or Draw 4 card. We went to Aunt Lisa's for the 4th of July and I was really excited about the fireworks this year. We watched them outside our house because I had a fever. I loved them so much that I even said I was thankful for them the rest of the month during nighttime prayers.
Stacey, Jaxson, and Harrison came for a visit and we played nicely at the pool. Our family went to the Magic House and I had a blast exploring and climbing and learning and blowing bubbles and pretending! We went to Auntie Heather and Uncle Sean's house for lunch afterwards, before I passed out in the car on the ride home. We also went to the Mud Room to do some painting. Ellie painted a dog that looks like Molly and I painted a horse to look like Rapunzel. I had so much fun and decided that next time, I'm going to do a butterfly in yellow, purple, and lavender (my three favorite colors.)
I had a miserable fever this month, up to 103 degrees. I had it three separate times in one week, and always went 24 hours fever free without meds in between. I finally went to the doctor and Dr. Ashley said I had Fifth's Disease. Very common, but the fevers and a very faint rash last for a while. I was pretty miserable and cranky but I'm all better now.
While playing Candyland, I said, "Hello doo-doo" to the Chocolate Mountain. I also used my binoculars, got close to the board and said, "I spying on your gingerbread man!" Sometimes Mommy and Daddy have to remind me "Who's the parent?" when I try to tell/remind Ellie what to do. When she told me what to do, I said to her, "Ellie, who's the parent?" I have also declared that I am "a Daddy's girl!" I love to make everyone laugh, and I do it often!
Other than passing swimming lessons, I had two other huge successes this month! I learned how to write my name! (That "M" is kind of tricky though.) I also started wearing underwear to bed because it's been a long time since I have had an accident at night! Look out, this girl is growing up!
