This month has been all about Pokemon Go! Mom and I play all the time! We have met up many times with her friend Lillian and her son Grayson. We have become "best friends" too! Ellie even set up an account and plays every once in a while. That meant so much to me. Mom and I did the Pokemon Go Fest, raids, and gym battles. We just started playing last July 31, and already are on Level 33! I have caught a Celebi, Mew, and Genesect. A Pokemon "friend" of mine traded me for a shiny Rayquaza! I couldn't believe it! The Pokenerds just can't get enough of me!
Dad took me over to Nana Arden and Papa Rodney's house one day to walk along the trail and do Pokemon Go. We got to hang out with Nana Arden and she hugged me from behind, which I loved! The Fajen family and Nana Arden and Papa Rodney came over here one last time before school starts to hang out in the backyard. We sure are going to miss seeing our family (outside, at a distance) once we go back to our germy schools.
We went to Washington to visit with Papa Ron at a distance and talk with him. Then we went to Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Tom's house for Ellie to be dropped off for a couple of days. (My turn is coming up tomorrow!) Because we have not been around other people for so long, we got to hug Grandma Kathy!!! (Can you tell that hugging other people is very important to me?)
We have had a lot of work done at our house-drainage, deck and fence staining, trim work repaired, and the main living area painted gray! Our family took a drive to find this beautiful sunflower field that everyone is taking pictures in. When we got there, the sunflowers were dead and droopy. Mom and Dad made a joke about how it was typical 2020, but I thought it was hilarious that they called them "droopy sunflowers!" We have had a lot of family movie nights and I have discovered the Descendants movies! They are so cool and I love dancing to them! I have randomly decided that I want to start riding my bike again. I outgrew my old bike, so luckily I have an older sister who has the next size bike that she outgrew! It really depends on the day if I want to ride it or not.
Dad went back to work this week, so we have been doing a lot of errand running with Mom. I have also stayed home alone with Ellie for short periods of time. In addition to Pokemon Go, I discovered another app called Happy Cooking that I like to play with Mom. We get to make and serve hamburgers and hot dogs as fast as we can. I think Mom is more addicted to playing it than I am! I also wanted to play beauty shop with Mom and pretended to cut her hair. She didn't realize I actually had scissors in my hand, and I accidentally cut Mom's hair! Luckily, she wasn't too upset!
I have heard a lot of talk about how different this school year will be, and I don't think I totally understand it. I haven't really had a "normal" school year to know what one is like! I have heard that we may only go to school a couple days a week, or we may just be doing school virtually on an iPad. Good thing I am well-versed at using electronics! Every once in a while, all the changes get to me and it comes out in strange ways because I don't know how to say how I feel about everything. I usually get really crabby and sassy, and then snuggles help after I have calmed down. I'm usually pretty good at going with the flow and I know Mom and Dad and Ellie will take good care of me.
I ask a lot of good questions. I asked my dad why people sell houses. After hearing the reasons, I decided that I want to buy Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Tom's house when they move out. I was also talking about something called a "convader" (conveyor) belt. I still say "new-z-um" for museum. I am also not sure I want to go to first grade. I said, "I will be around new friends and won't be able to hug them. I'd rather be with my kindergarten friends."
