6 Years, 7 Months...Virtual 1st grade

Mom took me to Kirksville to do some Pokemon Go at Truman State University with Harrison and Jaxson one Saturday.  I had a lot of fun showing off all my skills and trading Pokemon.  The next day I got to go to Washington to spend my 3 days with Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Tom.  I had a blast with them.  I wasn't homesick at all and I loved having all the attention for myself.  I even got Grandma to install Pokemon Go on her phone.

Mom and I have met Lillian and Grayson at the park a lot to play Pokemon Go.  I love to talk really loud to anyone who will listen.  My favorite is when I see a rare Pokemon and I shout, "You don't see this every day!"  We did the Community Day this past weekend and I caught a lot of shiny Porygons and won an Articuno raid and traded it with Lillian and Grayson so we both have lucky Articunos!

Mom and Dad went back to work so I am having to spend a lot of time entertaining myself, which is really hard.  I'm used to having Mom as my constant playmate for months.  Sometimes Ellie and I are home alone, and other times Mom is here but is busy working.  My new passion is the Descendants movies.  I could watch them all day, everyday!

I started 1st grade too and it has been strange.  Right before school started, I finally asked "What does virtual mean?"  I had heard that word a lot but didn't know what it meant.  I got a phone call before school started from Miss Maude.  I'm so glad she is my teacher, but it is not the same as being in person.  I wish it were the 100th day of school because work would be harder.  My favorite day was when I got to read to Miss Maude.  I loved being able to read to her and told Mom to stay away because I was already going to have one person "staring at me!"  I like to spend my break times downloading games on my iPad or watching Descendants videos on Safari.  I figured out how to do that all on my own but figured out quickly that I'm not supposed to do that.  It's just so tempting!

Our family went apple picking this past weekend.  It was so good to be out.  I ran around saying, "This is so fun.  Promise me we can do this again soon!"  I really miss getting out and doing fun things.  I'm still a curious little kid and want to experience a lot of things.  I hate that I am missing out on so many things that I don't even know about.  (Or maybe that's just how Mom feels.  I'm a pretty happy kid.)

Time at the lake with Dad and a beautiful sunset

Playing Happy Cooking with Mom (I think we are both addicted!)
