Just as I was starting to get used to online school, we found out we got to go back this week. On Wednesdays, I FaceTime with Grandma Kathy and Nana Arden brings a McDonald's lunch. It is really nice to see both of them. Although sometimes I like to just play games on the iPad. I'm really excited about Angry Birds and Cooking Diary, a game I play with Mom sometimes. We had a spirit week the last week of online learning, so I got to have PJ day, Cedar Ridge colors, hat day, and stuffed animal day. I didn't want to participate in crazy hair day (that's just not for me!) One day, I went to school with mom to learn before I got my flu shot and that was hard to work in her office with her there. We do much better at home.
I have really started to think more deeply lately. Somethings that I have said include: "I feel like I am living in someone else's dream." "Are peanuts good for you? What part of you, like brain, bones, muscles?" I am very inquisitive about the human body and science and I love when I get to explore those things at school or on my iPad on my own.
Mom takes me on a lot of errands with her just to get me out of the house, but I just stay in the car. Sometimes I don't like it, and other times I don't mind. We have gone to Ellie's instrument tuning with her orchestra teacher, the library, and grocery pick-ups. We have been to the park a couple of times for Pokemon hunting.
Before school started back up, Mom took me and Ellie to Washington to visit my grandparents. It was so nice to see Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Tom, but it took me a while to warm up. I was really interested in a new Descendants book that I got from the library. I did the same thing at Papa Ron's, until it was almost time to leave. Then he got to see the real me!
It has been really great to be back in school. I was so excited to see Miss Maude in person, and my friends too! I thought wearing a mask was going to be hard, but I've been ok. I love recess the most and I have had PE and media, and I even had mom teach counseling twice! I really do like being back and hope we get to stay there safely!
