More to come...
I made a lot of crafts out of paper this month. I love to use my creativity and impress people! I also love to ride my scooter everywhere in the house. I like doing tricks like Sky Brown did in the Olympics. I've also been interested in tennis, so Daddy took me out a couple of times to play and we were joined by Mommy and Ellie. I did a lot of Pokemon Go and Minecraft this month too.
I passed swimming lessons! I had a hard time swimming by myself to my instructor. Luckily for me, I was the only student there the last night! I had him all to myself and I was able to learn how to do it!
I was really sad about leaving summer school. I had such a good time and made so many new friends. In fact, I was able to have a play date with one of them. Averie and her mom met Mom and me at the park. We played on the playground for a while and then tried to go to the spray park. Unfortunately, it had just broken when we got there. We very very hot and disappointed but handled it well. We ended up going to a different one and had a blast! I also got to have two play dates with Autumn, one at our house and one at her house. I can really get along with just about anyone.
We got to celebrate Mom and Aunt Lisa's birthday with the family. We were also able to go to the pool with Lisa and her family and I was able to show off my swimming skills. Auntie Heather, Uncle Sean, and Ian came for an evening visit on their way to pick up Ashley. Ian enjoys Minecraft, but he plays a different version than I do so we weren't able to play together.
Papa Ron came up for a visit with his friend Linda. We visited for a while and went for a walk at the park, and then brought Shakespeare's Pizza back to our house. It was really good to see him.
Ellie was really busy with all her activities this month and I felt kind of left out. Luckily, I got to have my time with Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Tom! (I still don't know why Ellie gets to have her time first.) I had so much fun there! I ate a lot of fruit and Starburst, I got mini corn dogs from Steak and Shake and Orange Leaf and ate it at the park, I had a scavenger hunt, I rode my scooter, I "cleaned up" Grandma Kathy's Pokemon Go account, I did arts and crafts, and just had a great time! I did get homesick for Athena and wanted to come home early, but I was able to make it from Monday-Friday while Mom and Dad were at work. Grandma and Grandpa brought me home a little early so I could play with Athena.
I know that summer is coming to a fast end. We are doing a lot of school type errands, getting our hair cut, packing bags for school, buying new "tied" shoes, and Mom and Dad are already there. I had really enjoyed the summer, but I am really looking forward to seeing my friends at school! I got to FaceTime my second grade teacher, Mrs. Heath while I was in Washington during Meet the Teacher Night. I remember her from helping me when I had an accident after school when I was in kindergarten. I'm excited to have her, even though I'm not in the purple room (my kindergarten and 1st grade rooms were purple.) Good thing I like orange! Ready or not, here comes 2nd grade!
