7 Years, 7 Months Old...Start of 2nd grade!

I started 2nd grade!  Mrs. Heath is my teacher and she is really nice.  (She helped me when I had an accident after school in kindergarten.)  I really am enjoying school, especially recess and science.  I also love to talk and got in trouble early in the year.  I had to remember how to be a learner.  After having electronics (mainly Minecraft) taken away, I figured it out.  Our school had Morning with Misses and I got to enjoy a donut with Mom outside.  After that, I got to play on the playground before school started.

Mom ran a half marathon in Kansas City, so Dad took us for donuts!  Our family went to Devil's Icebox and explored the caves.  I was really apprehensive about going in there and worried that I would fall.  I told Mom and Dad that I would be more brave next time because I would know what to expect.

I went to a lot of parties this month.  Peter had a water and baseball themed back to school party.  I had so much fun at his house and playing with friends.  I went to Wilma's birthday party at a gymnastics place and I enjoyed that too.  Mom left during the party and I wished that she had stayed.  I went to Autumn's birthday party too!  She really wanted me there, and I hope we can have a play date soon.  I love hanging out with her!

I started soccer again!  I am really having fun and enjoying playing.  My friends Owen, Luna, and Watson are on the team.  We didn't score at all in the first game and I was really disappointed.  And like my very first soccer game, it was in the pouring rain!  I offered to play goalie and loved it!  We lost the next two games, but at least we scored in them.  Papa Ron and Linda came to one of the games.

I have also been going to all of Ellie's volleyball games.  I am really patient and love to cheer for her.  The hardest part is that I want snacks during the whole game!

Ellie and I switched rooms.  She is getting new furniture and will eventually move downstairs and I love the colors of her room.  It just made sense to switch!  For the first week, I kept saying that it felt like I was staying in a hotel.  I'm used to it now.  I get to sleep in a loft bed, and I have a new fun reading chair.
