8 Years, 7 Months...3rd grade and soccer!

Our church celebrated the start of the school year with Blessings of the Backpacks.  We also had a Fall Kick-Off, which ended up being inside because of the rain. We got to play in a bounce house on the third floor.  It was so much fun!  We also had a Parents Night Out and I enjoyed playing with my friends and eating pizza and popcorn.

Mom and I spent a long day at the Pokemon Go Fest.  I love seeing all my Pokemon friends.  Our family went to Corrine's birthday party.  We also went over to Nana Arden and Papa Rodney's house to help them move some rocks for their landscaping and foundation work.  We really didn't have to do a lot of work, but it was nice to hang out with them.  We got to enjoy a lot of Shakespeare's pizza too.

I have also had several soccer games on Team USA.  Our jerseys are white, which is not the best idea for hiding dirt and food!  Our team is a lot more competitive this year and won the first game. We have scored a goal (or more) in every game so far.  I am the only girl on the team again.  I've been going to some of Ellie's volleyball games, but I miss the ones on Monday nights because I have soccer practice.  I did go to her back to school night at Oakland and they had Kona Ice so I got to partake!

One of my favorite things to do is play with Sally and/or CJ on the iPad.  We either play Minecraft or, most recently, Roblox.  They have a lot of fun games on there, but my friends have been playing longer than I have and are better than I am.  We usually end up getting in an argument.  I also call and text over and over if I don't hear back from them and it frustrates them.  I got grounded from the iPad over the weekend to learn that it isn't appropriate.

Mom took me to Wilma's birthday party at a swimming pool.  It was so much fun, and I played with Josh a lot.  I went down the slide and really liked it.  Avonlea came over a couple of days later and we were hoping to go swimming, but it was too cold.  We had a last in the house playing though.  Uncle Mark, Aunt Julie, and Chase came over because they were in town for a wedding, and I had so much fun with Chase.  I miss playing with him.  We played basketball and a lot of crazy stuff downstairs.

We realized that Ellie's friend Shelby didn't really get to celebrate her birthday at home so we threw her a birthday party here!  We baked a cake, Ellie gave her presents, and she spent the night.  It was a really good time!  We love Shelby!  Ellie spent the night at Lila's for her birthday and then Lila went to Church with us.  It was Pastor Carol's 10 year anniversary with us and was a big party!

Happy birthday Shelby!

Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for coming to my game and taking us out to lunch!

Are you all ready for this?
